Dental Implants

There are over 42 million people without any teeth and many more with a failing dentition. 90% of edentulous patients have complete dentures and a high percentage of them are dissatisfied with their dentures. Many people are unaware that there is a better option.

Our office has been treating the edentulous patient since 1982 with implant rehabilitation. There are many options including implant retained over dentures and implant supported fixed bridges.

With implant retained over dentures, you begin by having your restorative dentist fabricate conventional dentures. At our office, we would install 2 or 4 implants. These implants would be allowed to heal for 4 months prior to you having your dentures modified and seated. These are still dentures but the added retention may eliminate those embarrassing moments when your denture falls out of your mouth.

The other option is a fixed solution. Again you would have your restorative dentist fabricate conventional dentures. At our office, we would install 4-6 implants and assuming these implants have good initial stability, your dentures could be modified into a fixed bridge and secured to the implants at the same appointment. With this treatment you may never wear dentures again!
