Billing, Insurance & Financial Policy
We make every effort to be completely transparent when communicating our financial and billing practices with patients. There is often confusion for patients regarding exactly what or how much treatment their insurance will cover and we strive to make this process as simple and informative as possible. OMAX wants to help you be completely informed as it relates to your treatment and insurance coverage.
Fees and Billing
A treatment estimate is presented at the initial appointment and every effort is made to adhere to the estimated amount. We will explain the exam/consult and necessary x-ray fees when scheduling your first appointment.
Insurance Limitations?
While OMAX exists to provide the very best care in treating your specific condition, medical and dental insurance companies don’t necessarily cover every treatment or procedure. However, OMAX is ethically obligated to diagnose and share our findings with you and base treatment recommendations on your needs, not based on the limitations of insurance benefits. We work with patients to maximize insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. If you have any insurance or payment questions prior to treatment, please contact our financial coordinators at 509.928.3600. Please bring your insurance card with you to your first appointment so we can answer any questions.
Financial Options
A down payment is due prior to the procedure. OMAX makes every effort to provide patients with the most convenient financial options, payment methods and pre-arranged payment plans. We offer discounts for payments in full, up to 12-months no interest and flexible, long-term plans through Care Credit.
Patients will receive monthly OMAX statements; however, the initial statement may not reflect payment from the insurance provider. To provide time for insurance to process, account balances will not assess monthly finance charges until after 90-days. Most insurance companies will reimburse claims within four to six weeks. Our services are rendered to the patient and not to the insurance provider; the patient is directly responsible to OMAX for their financial obligation. Prompt remittance in full is always appreciated.
Paper or Plastic?
For patient convenience, OMAX accepts payment by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Care Credit. Patient payment is due in full at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Patients are responsible for payment of all OMAX charges regardless of insurance coverage.
